    Square or Round Living Rubber?

I have quit a few of the old Arky square living rubber jigs, but am getting low and noticed that all the rubber is now round. I just thought that was a new fad, didn't realize you can't buy square any more. Who likes what best?

The new smaller diameter round rubber is nice... The fishing industry always used 34 gauge. That means it had 34 strands per inch... I had alot of custom run material made at 37 gauge and I liked it alot better. For jigs I would like even thinner. Like 40-45 gauge. The powdered flat rubber was nice and easy to tie, But really gummed up alot after not much use. The round rubber is a silicone based talc free rubber. More vibrant colors and holds up longer. This is the same material that bungie cords, bra straps, underwear waistbands are made from... I bought 300 lb spools of each color made and special colors as well like glow in the dark from North American rubber thread company long before they went out of biz. I kept enough for me and sold the rest off.
