those "pain killers" may be what caused the "hookage" to begin with---

I had to do the same thing once by myself. The hook was much smaller though thank goodness.

I could have used that video about two months ago. Would be better than the $250.00 bill that patient first just sent me.

Re: Fish hook removal technique (pete 1)

I got a treble hook in my arm a couple months ago. Just pulled it through the skin again. And drove to nearest advance auto and bought the biggest pair of snips i could buy and cut the barb off. I wish i had a camera on the guys face when he asked me what i needed and i showed him my arm. lol ten dollars was much better then the doctor bill would have been.

    That was a good one!

Popped one out of my grandson's head this summer, his first time with crankbaits. No crying, but his Mom was about to faint.

I just watched the video. Least he had a good bottle of spirits to get him through it. During the removal he was calm and kept taking a drink of the bottle.....

Re: Fish hook removal technique (Big Johnson)

I forgot an experience i had back in 1988. i was fishing local tournament and my co-angler was using a rebel bait, nice sharp hooks not to mention. He got the crankbait in his right thumb and of course he cranked with his right hand. He had been drinking and asked me to get it out. So i took my time and he got aggrivated and told me to yank the d<m thing out so i did. No success. So i started up the motor and was going to head in 1/2 throug hthe tournament. He said he had paid his fee to fish and he was going to finish the tournament. So we kept fishing and the entire rest of the evening i could hear the rattle of the bait with each hand crank....LOL
