OMC Gurus:
I rebuilt my OB for the first time and have some wires hooked up incorrectly and various other problems. Although I know better, I got in a hurry and did not label everything very well...
1992 Ev. 70 hp Tiller with Trim/Tilt
E70TTLEND
I have a Clymer manual for this year with a 70 hp Tiller Trim/Tilt Wiring Diagram that does not totally match up with what I have. Anyone have a correct wiring diagram. I assume it's an early 1992 model as it does not appear to have QuickStart.
Also, I bought a CDI aftermarker Stator (133-4560 replaces the OMC part 584560). It has the usual 5 pin amphenol connector, and the two separate yellow wires that go to the regulator/rectifier. The digram shows that one of the stator wires needs to be grey/yellow to match the gray/yellow on the rectifier/regulator. I cannot tell which should go where. Does it matter?
I also bought a new timer base 584558
and I notice the #3 coil has no spark. It seems to follow the wire from the power pack. How can I test if the power pack or wiring from the timer base/stator is bad? It worked prior to rebuild....
Thanks!
