    Update On My Health

Back in January had a very serious situation with blood clots in my lungs. A lot in my right lung and some in my left. Thanks to the doctors at the PRISMA hospital in Columbia SC they were able to remove them.

It took me a little while to get my stamina back but I am feeling great. I am taking blood thinners and my blood pressure medication but that's it. I have lost some weight but have gotten a little slack on my good eating........working on correcting that. It was a little tough fishing and doing other activities at first but I am back fishing a lot and able to hang in there and fish all day now. I have fished some small tournaments recently and feel back to normal. One thing I have started doing is using my front pedestal seat more. My balance is not what it used to be and I am sure that is part of being an old man. I am good if it is smooth water but I need the butt seat if it is windy/rough. I fished the SC Fishers of Men recently on Lake Murray with BR200 and I had to leave the TM driving to him since we had wind over 30 MPH that day. We did catch over 18 pounds and came in 8th out of 54 boats.

I had a lot of people praying for me and it definitely helped. The good Lord has more plans for me!

Good to hear. I use the pedestal seat a lot also. Always need something to lean on when fishing.

I wish you continued success on your journey back to good health. Went through the same thing myself in 2011, definitely not a pleasant thing. All the best my friend!

Sure glad you to feeling better BR. Did they ever find the cause of the blood clots. Only reason I ask is maybe I can prevent them. But glad you are doing better. Tell BR 200 and your family hey from an old BFHP ger and old hillbilly.

BR, I went through the same about three years ago. Not as many clots though. It took a year but I am back to normal. I was lucky to be able to come off of the thinners which i am grateful. Soon after I ran a hedger into my leg. It would have been dicey still being on the meds. Keep pushing the best you can. Hope for a full recovery. Good Luck!

    Good news!
