Baits/techniques you haven't used in a long time

Big fish catching rig, always have one tied on and I'm like an OG in the sport when I fish it. Conditions play a role on how to rig but my go to is one plastic bead at the swivel knot followed by a glass then a 1/2oz egg sinker, roughly 12-18" leader, 1/0 offset straight shank hook. The #1 bait I use is a 6" Zoom lizard in blueberry.

Trust me it’s not for a lack of wanting to. I just forget about it every time I am getting all the poles set up. I should start a running list of baits kind of like a cheat sheet to help me remember of all the different options I could try while out on the water. Many times I can blank out while fishing and or conditions don’t favor slow moving baits “ think heavy winds etc” and I don’t have fancy spot lock dohickies and whatchamacalits to help me with boat control in poor windy or fast moving water conditions or when dealing with both simultaneously out on the Delta. I’m assuming you caught that fish on the C-Rig.

C-Rig probably not in the last 15 years. Plan on resurrecting this setup since my lake is perfect for it.

Topwater Popper doesn't get used very often. More walking baits, buzzbaits and whopper ploppers.

4” ringworm, black with a chartreuse tail. Caught a ton of fish on these in a variety of locations. I’m sure they would still work.

Hell Bender crank bait on the bank, probably 50 years since i threw one.

I have caught some catfish on those in the Ohio river from the banks. But haven’t used one in years. Don’t know if I even still have one.

Same here .....I bet its been almost 50 years since I've thrown one. When I started serious bass fishing on Toho in '74 it seemed almost everybody threw one.

Try hollow body frogs, whopper ploppers and Pop-R's. Work them around lay downs, stumps, docks, grass lines, tulles etc.
