    Powerpole Move installed

Got the PP move installed on my Lynx today. It is noticeably lighter then my Ultrex and has a much lower profile. Love nut having the huge bundles of wires going from the head to the pedal. It also seems extremely well built.

Nicely done Mr. Kirby. They sure are quiet and weigh considerably less than other brushless brands

Had one on my puma sts that I just sold last week. Get yourself a stabilizer for it . I'll definitely be putting the Move on my next one as well.

Wish they weren’t quite so expensive.

Agreed. If they matched the price of the Ghost/Force/Quest I would have one. I can't justify paying their price to replace my Ghost. By the time I sold the Ghost, I'd still be out of pocket $3,000.

keep it from bouncing around when stowed. Wether you are running across the lake or just going down rough roads and highways. I noticed lots of vibration on it when I was running down the lake. Geiger Tec Marine makes one for around $150. easy install.

meant to respond to the question "what's the stabilzer for"..

Curious to see how much more lift you will get. It is almost 40 pounds lighter

Where did you mount the spot lock button and the digital display?

Have you had it on the water yet? Thoughts?

I put a 52" Move on my Cougar 203 last June, it's been the best trolling motor I've used. I've had 3 Ultrexes, and 2 Ghosts, the Move is lighter, stronger, quieter, and the spotlock is more precise. It costs more, but I belive it's worth more. I put the front-end of my rig on a diet, I also run an 8610 Garmin and a Lowrance Pro 10 for graphs. You can feel the front-end lift easier.

Does the Move have some sort of break-away in case you hit a stump?
There was a time that I didn't fish but I cannot remember it.

    it has a titanium shaft.
I t boned a boulder not to long ago and nothing happened to it.
and really none of the newer trolling motors have a breakaway system that’s worth a dang.

Make sure you do the latest update of the trolling motor. It makes using it much better

The more I look in to these, the more I want one. I want a new trolling motor and was leaning towards the Quest. I would really like a chance to use the Move for a few minutes before dropping money on it. I like everything I've seen and heard so far - especially the weight savings.

I just installed the Ultrex Quest. Came from a Ultrex. It is definitely Ultrex 3.0. Much beefier, super quiet, and man can I move a 21ft Triton down the lake in a hurry....changes the way I fish. It is so smooth turning while the Ultrex was a bit jerky so the Garmin LVS34 is easier to track fish. Love it. I am leary of wireless footpedals, so just could not risk the Move purchase without someone I know having one to try.

I'm sure this has been posted, I'm just being lazy this morning but does anyone have real world weights on the Power Pole Move vs. Minn Kota Ultrex? I recently had to send my Ultrex to the shop and installed my spare Foretrex and the difference in Bow lift was noticable between the two trollers. I wonder if the Power pole move is similar in weight to the Foretrex?

there is a John Crews youtube video where he weighs them. Powerpole move is in the high 50's and the Ultrex 80 range, with the ultrex quest a few pounds heavier. Yes, it really makes
    a difference on bowlift.

I couldn't find any info on the weight of the Ultrex Quest.

These are weights I jotted down from videos of other people weighing them...

    Lowrance Ghost: 65lbs
    Ultrex (not Quest): 72lbs
PowerPole Move: 57lbs (with the pedal)
