Target lock suddenly wont turn. HELP please.

Was on a multi day fishing trip and second day out the target lock won't turn.
The foot switch directional arrows will light up when depressed. Also the little blue light atop of target lock has power.
Where should I start looking ?

Mine does the same. I would report it to Humminbird as I believe this is a software issue. Mine works for like 3 hours then goes away. The remote wouldn't even turn it along with foot pedal and both said still paired under chirp sonar. Only way I could get it to turn is use the arrows on my apex screen. My Ultrex I-pilot Link continues to connect and disconnect. Seems like they were worried about the update for the quest they missed something for original ultrex software. But make sure they are still paired under chirp sonar.

Don't believe its the battery as the foot pedal battery was replaced a month ago. Some of my buttons disappear on the screen when things start going haywire. Also in one of the pictures you can see my crosstalk interference.

Replaced foot pedal battery -- it shows to be 100% still no movement on target lock.
Made sure it's paired and shows all the latest software on Solix 15 G-3, target lock and mega live. mega live screen does not show any of the control features on bottom of display but I don't believe it was the day before my target lock quit working.
Any ideas of what to try next ?
Should you be able to turn the target lock shaft by hand as easy as you can turn the Quest shaft by hand ?
I can easily turn the Quest shaft with one hand while the target lock takes both hands and considerable force to turn. Just trying to determine if there is something wrong with the steering mechanism.

just turned everything off and restarted-- I have the left right buttons on mega live screen and they work. But the foot pedal still doesn't.

Unpair the foot pedal and pair it again.

I had that happen when I was using the Mega Live directly into my Helix 15 without the network on line(I had sent my switches in for replacement). I could not get either of the remotes to effect any of the functions, even if I re-paired the remotes, I thought it might be a Bluetooth problem with the Helix, worked with HB, sent it in, came back, no problem found with Helix. When my switches came in and were installed, the problem no longer existed. As long as I have my network going, no more problems with the remote function. I would not have noticed it if I had not removed my switches for replacement, then went fishing without it. Sounds convoluted, but that was my experience.

Got my call back from H-bird--
sweet lady had me reset factory defaults for target lock. Shut down- reboot - then pair up target lock followed by foot control and she worked.

Even Helix has several levels of options now! It sounds like it is catching up with Solix/Apex menus. We need you here Wayne (same as always)

I was following her directions and not paying as much attention to the location.
I know it was under- settings - pretty sure it was under chirp sonar - I will see if I can find it tomorrow and report back.

I will do that in a few minutes. I had a SOLIX connected to check for another post a couple of hours before this question was asked. Takes about 5 minutes to check. BRB
