    mapping chips

I have Lowrance and Birds, what mapping chip would you recommend for Pohick and Agua Harbor area? I will be up in these general places for work for the next few months. So, I going to bring the boat.
Navigational purposes would be better. This is all new water for me but Fishing is the ultimate goal.

Basic tips and recommendation to cut down on scouting would be helpful.

For just navigation, you don't need any additional mapping with a Humminbird, the Humminbird base map has some contours and channel markers.
Not really much contour info is needed since there is not much contour change there.

If your Humminbird is a Helix third or fourth generation or a SOLIX or APEX, the LakemasterVX mapping has more contours and has depth shading that may make you more aware of shallow areas.

You can view Navionics' coverage on their website's Chart Viewer. Navionics works in both Lowrance and Humminbird units.
