    2014 Phoenix 721 pro xp

I have a 2014 Phoenix 721 with a 2014 Mercury 250 pro xs running a 25p fury and z lock manual jackplate. I am curious what speeds I should be getting with a proper set up, I can get about 68 at 6100 rpm’s. Everything I read says I should be getting about 73mph and above.

I have a friend with the same boat and engine. You have a setup or engine problem I think. Those 721s are pretty fast and 68 at 6100 rpm is slow with a lot of prop slip. Post what your prop to pad dimension is and perhaps someone with the same setup will post what they are running. I doubt you're too low because you're turning that 25p 6100! What is the WOT for your engine? Maybe those hulls like to run kinda flat and you're losing forward thrust because you're over trimmed which would also explain the high rpms. Just ideas. Please let us know what you try and hopefully you'll be posting the solution soon. Good luck!

Check this out! Have to read a lot of posts. Lots of setup notes. How the boat is loaded is important.
