Anyone still use buzzbaits with the skirt anymore?

Was looking at pros baits on Harris Chain this morning and it occured to me that I can't remember the last time I saw a buzzbait with the skirt on rather than a soft plastic. I guess I am in the minority but something I would like to try. Whatd oes everyone like for plastics on buzzbaits in lieu of the skirt and why the plastic you use.

I use a black or white Stanley Ribbit. Helps come up top faster, and easier to skip with it. That said, I always carry a black skirt and white/chart skirt cavitron. Sometimes they just work better.

Only use a skirt but make my own with just a single tab.

All of mine have skirts on them, sometimes I'll add a trailer to it, some type of grub. Next time I lose a skirt I might try a paddletail and see if it helps or not.

Ribbit or horney toad helps rise up and lots of action. Paddle tail swim bait like the Keitech as well.

I bet they would hit it without a skirt or plastic, just a bare hook.

Still use a skirt here can't seem to get any action with the toads on it. Could be not just sticking to it and keep throwing it because confidence is still the skirt deal.

That's the only way I fish a buzz bait. No trailers unless it's a trailer hook.

Zoom ZCraw Jr. Rigged flat so it surfaces quickly. Compact so they seldom miss it.

75% of time I use a skirt with the tail off a Culprit worm as a trailer. The other 25% of the I use a Ribbit or SK toad. A floating Ribbit works as well as a buzzbait with a toad trailer.
