What is this blue button for?

I have a small blue button just under the fuel filter of my 1996 Mariner, 2 Stroke, 25HP ELH, tiller control, Outboard motor. I have no clue what it is for.

It appears to be tied to the fuel system somehow, but don't hold me to that.

    Anyone have any idea?

That is part of the fuel enrichment for cold start. It is activated when you pull out the choke.

An enrichment valve, that works much like an accelerator pump each time the idle knob is turned "up" and then pulled out for choke.
