    Kristine Fischer

Man I’m pulling for her in the opens. The girl can flat out fish. I just think you’ll have to be one of the best in the world with FFS to make the elites through the opens the next few years.

She used to work in the fishing department here at our local Scheels. I talked to her several times before she left to dominate the world of kayak fishing. Wishing her the best of luck in the opens. I'll be watching

I love her passion for bass fishing. Though with the competition ramped up now, I think she should start with smaller venues until she gets more time on the water in a bass boat. After watching the end of the video, it seems like she has a lot to learn fundamentally, after spending all her time on the kayak circuit. I wish her well but I think she will struggle for some time. It's not like the new guys like McKinney, who grew up fishing out of a big rig or Milliken, who has spent countless hours behind the wheel and guiding. But I'm sure she has good sponsor support so money shouldn't be an issue. I'm sure she will draw more followers.

I’ve been following her for a few years, she’s good no doubt. I hope she does well. The sport needs more women, not a women division, I just don’t see that needed in fishing.

And your point? Look at some of those names she finished in front of.

I guess you’re better than them, too!

Good luck to her. With FFS....we will see very young fishermen winning Pro events. 18, 19, 20 year olds. Some will not even be a college angler, but out of the high school teams. Father will have him with guides and others who know FFS, and the youngster will be really good with it. I would be willing to say, in the next 3 years, a new young fishermen under 20 ....will win the Classic.

Yes- she is one of the most well-known fisherwomen in the kayak scene. TourneyX converts length to a rough weight and the kayakers stack up very well against the boaters on the same lake- but with a whole lot less mobility. The electronics isn't going to be an issue for her. She can break down a lake from a kitchen table very good and know where to drop in-plus her casting techniques like skipping is excellent. Interesting she is using a Ranger Aluminum rig- but they will get good exposure with her for advertising. BASS will help out with that for their women in angling push.
