I keep mine hanging in the garage until I am going to need it on the boat.

Long term - hanging in the house

Short term - in a dry bag in one of the rod lockers; always taken out to completely dry before using again

I hang the rain jacket and bibs on separate hangers in the garage......I put them in a mesh laundry type bag to bring them on and off the boat, makes them easier to carry and store in a bin on the boat

For in the boat I use 24" rubber giant twist ties. Roll up the coat throw that around it and they hardly take up any space at all.

I learned that hanging your rain gear in the garage exposes them to exhaust fumes, which isn't good for them. When I bought my Gore Tex boots from a rep, he stated that just starting your vehicle in the garage gives off more chemicals that can breakdown the fibers over a short time.

Roll Jacket and Bibs tightly together, then hold them together with heavy duty velcro strap. Store next to lifejackets in compartment behind drivers seat.

This plus I treat with NIXWAX Wash and Waterproofing treatments at least yearly. My Guidewear is 9 years old and is like brand new and keeps me dry in the heaviest rain.

I keep a cheaper set of frog toggs in the boat in a dry bag. My Gill insulated set stays hung up in my closet. I will wear it on days I need it and just throw it in a compartment if I don’t need it. When done for the day I dry it out and hang back up. I have never washed it just take a wet cloth and wipe any slime. It looks new and beads water great yet.

This. Switched to keeping in a dry bag after pulling out wet rain gear one time....

Wet, balled up in a hot closed compartment until they get smelly and full of mold, apparently.
