Hope it holds. I know Utah has some higher elevations, but it was still surprising to see the ice and snow.

That the dam holds.
Several year ago the gate that allows water out of the lake for irrigating got stuck wide open. This resulted in fantastic fishing in the creek below the dam.
The water department had no choice but to let the water out so that repairs could be made. This looks like the case again. If the upper part of the dam gives way. There will severe flooding through the outskirts of the small town of Panguitch and the Sevier river drainage. Not a good thing!

PANGUITCH, Utah (ABC4) — The damage to the Panguitch Lake Dam, which includes a large crack that prompted city officials to announce a “Level 2 Emergency Situation,” appears to have taken a positive turn.
