    Walk behind mower recommendation needed

Well, after 20 years or so of awesomeness/reliability, I need to replace my Honda walk behind mower due to my own doing. That mower probably would've gone another 20 years if I hadn't hit an unseen object hard enough that it broke the crank shaft. Shop said it would be better off getting something brand new than trying to rebuild it.

Soooo, reading that Honda is out of the mower game now, I need some recommendations on what to look at before the grass starts growing here in the north country. No real requirements other than it needs to be self propelled and have the option to bag or mulch.

What does the BBC crowd recommend?

You referring to a push mower? I have a Honda that's 9 years old. It appears they still make them.

Harbor freight makes a Honda knock off alternative called the predator. You might look into one of those.

Honda gas mower. I think they ceased making gas mowers last year but we found one at Home Depot with self propelled.

    Great mower, good luck.

My Toro from Tractor Supply is on season 3. I cut my yard weekly from March until the grass goes dormant and have had zero issues. Both my rear wheels pull, but I saw today they now have AWD. Not sure how that helps, but I am sure they market it somehow. Be prepared for possible sticker shock. Hope I do not have to replace mine anytime soon.
Just be kind to one another. It really is that simple.

I have a Jonsered. It has a Honda engine. Even Walmart sells the Jonsered so they should be available where you live.

I've had the Honda and it is outstanding. I've had a Toro self propelled for trim work and it does a great job for what I use it for.

Yeah, I already miss the Honda that I had. I read last fall they were discontinuing their mowers, but seems like that has either been delayed or they changed their minds.

However, reading some reviews about them on Northern Tool's website, it sounds like the new ones aren't as good as the old ones (like I had) were?
