6" Of rain in 16 hours

4 Waves of storms since yesterday evening.
Water flowing through yards, streets, ditches, creeks, roads, ponds and finally to the lakes.
    Lost electricity once.
Chocolate mud and lakes above normal pool.
Could have hit the lake this evening but just wondered if anything would be up on banks or below drains to eat with all the junk coming in.

Has anyone had much success fishing immediately after such a hard heavy rain?

I just stay home if the river is up like that. No sense in getting out in that mess.

6 inches of rain is a lot, the local river would be trashed for a week with that kind of rain. I really struggle on the river after big rains and the water turns to chocolate milk.

I remember meeting a farmer in west Texas and asking him how much annual rain, on average, he received. He said 10-12” and that I should be there the day they get it.

Send it west of 35. We could use it from big bend to Brownsville up to lake Travis and Ivie.

I don’t know how you aren’t. We have been getting rain in Granbury or hood county way too much. Wise county isn’t that far from me. I would think y’all were wet too. I know just south and west of us it’s been dry but wet every where else.

It's rained a little but not enough to affect the lake level. We are still 16' low

I wish we could get back to 16' low! Several lakes are 30 to almost 50' low around here!
