Survived here in Western Kentucky and maintained cell service during the eclipse.

We had a dozen of us down at the pond fishing. They were biting until it got dark. Then it all went to heck in a hand basket....always fun to have an excuse to have a get together, though.

Drove by the center of town and about 200 people were in the park in lawn chairs all looking up with those glasses on. I wish I snapped a pic....

Never got dark here, 2 hours from areas of totality. Did not see the need to drive to Erie or Cleveland.

I also survived, but I did watch it. I watched with the glasses until totality hit, then I glanced a few times without the glasses. I'm glad I did because I could see a solar flare at the 4:30 position of the sun. I will never get to see one again.

Some find no interest in this sorta stuff but millions find it very interesting, specially if they haven't seen it before. If you enjoy, hope it was all you expected, if your not interested, move along.

It was ^. We had 100% coverage here, and at the height of the eclipse we still had light in the sky to the north of us, just like you get when it’s 30-40 minutes before sunrise [except it’s in the east then]. Didn’t get totally dark due to this glow in the sky, and within 4 minutes I could see shadows reappearing under trees in the yard. It was predicted that we might see a 10-12 degree drop in temperature, but it only dropped 3 degrees. If I’d been in a room without windows, I wouldn’t even have known it happened.

Neighbors have a massive live oak tree and Momma owl and her babies got very loud when it got dark, pretty cool.
