    Big round sun hat recommendation

I'd like to find one with a shapable brim on it. The one a have don't hold a shape.

Anyone have a recommendation on a good one?

Tilley's are great hats. They have a lifetime guarantee and hold their shape no matter how many times you wash them. They are also great in the rain, have ventilation, block UV and float. I wear them fishing. Hats – Tilley USA

I never backlash, but each time I go fishing I practice fixing them, just in case I ever do really backlash.

I understand you're looking for a sun hat with an extended bill to reduce the glare from the water. Below is a list of the sun protection gear I've adopted since my fishing partner was diagnosed with skin cancer on his left cheek a few years back. The hat is easy to configure using large rubber bands to ensure you get the proper shape on the bill that you desire.

Good luck with your hat search and stay safe out on the water!

Tilley makes a darn good hat. I used to wear straw hats but they blow off vs the Tilley with their two cord system staying in place. Henschel makes a good copy if you can find them for about half the price.

Another vote for Tilley Hats. My SIL bought me one for my birthday years ago. He is a geologist and stays in the field a good bit. I didn't know I needed one until he bought it for me and it is awesome. I have 2. I keep one in the boat and one in the house for yard work and hiking.

Tilley hats are my choice. I keep one in the boat and one at home. Toss them in the washer and dryer. They hold their shape. A bit expensive but well worth the money.

I wear a hat made by Shelta. It has a baseball cap section molded into the brim. Pricey. But worth it to me.
