Yesterday during a tournament we were making a short run to another spot. Winds were 15-25mph with gusts of 40mph. I was running g about 55mph when what felt like the engine stumbled and then dropped to 40mph. Initially I thought that maybe I had lost a cylinder. I shut it down and realized my throttle cable had popped out of the C clamp holder on tbe pedal. Two screws hold it on. The cable wasn't able to get full range so it is what was limiting the speed.
I slid pedal out of the slider holder and then reattached C clamp. All was well after that.
Just wanted to say it might be worth checking those screws. I've never had it happen before and could have been bad had we been out in the rough stuff. I'm gonna start carrying g a stubby screw driver as tge only way to get to those screws without one is to pull the pedal out.
