New to me outboard. Serial number 04067986
Having problems running above about 2000rpm. Pulled carbs off and completely went through them. It idles great. Start to try to get on plane and it just won’t rev above 2000. It acts like it’s not getting enough fuel. If I pull choke out till it bout dies then push it back in it comes up like it’s gonna run for couple seconds then back to 2000rpm. Makes me think it’s starving for fuel. Starts great and idles great.
Was trying to get across the lake last Saturday and it popped and ran a few minutes and shut off. Come home pulled head off and top two o rings were blowed. Compression was way down on those two cylinders. I’m guessing I just use a thin layer of silicone on head when I reinstall it? Manual is on its way in the mail. Thanks.
