I won’t go so far as to mock or insult people who took the chance, but there’s no way I would spend that much on something not from a vendor I know very well. I bought all my Garmin stuff in person or from recognized, established dealers based in the USA seen on BBC boards. Im all for bargains, and I have bought stuff from sites I am not familiar with and been ok, but nothing more than $50-$75 or so. For me it’s am I going to be ticked at losing the cash if it turns out a scam?

I would think people who took a shot have no problem dealing with the loss or the hassle of getting their money back.

Pretty sure none of the high dollar crowd here would be buying from AlieExpress anyway. They would just send their boat into the local dealer and order it all up installed anyway, not bargain hunting the net and waiting weeks for it to arrive..... or not....

My update: I also received an empty box. I contacted Pay Pal and they've started the refund process. I will have a refund in 7-10 days

If it worked, it would have been genius. Hopefully all who ordered used PayPal because the return was easy.

These guys all knew the risks and took appropriate actions if it went sideways to recoup their money. Bummed it was empty boxes.

Your PayPal claim goes through the same call center in China that Ali Express uses, so it’s quick, convenient, and fast.

Yep, and my posts weren't meant to belittle any of the guys that took a shot on this... just some of my warped humor.

Besides... every one of us here would've been scrambling to jump in on that deal after the fact if it had panned out.
