    New Skeet Reese Rod Company

Skeet Reese is back in the rod business, with a new company called www.reesefishing.com. They will offer two series, and one comes in yellow for the fans of his old signature series. Not that the world needed another rod company, but here it is.

The margins on rods / reels must be pretty dang good, because I swear you see new companies (well, labels anyways) popping up all the time.

Do we have to guess where they are manufactured? Hard pass from me.

I think the rods were named after the American Gladiators. Blade, Bulldozer, Dive, Fire, Hog Snatcher, Jammer, Rise and The Mule.

I’m hoping he will make designated FFS rods with colors to match fishermen’s preferred FFS palettes.

Switch palletes, switch rods, and vice versa.

Not stirring the pot, I’m asking because I don’t keep up with the BPT. Has he done well since joining the BPT? I never hear his name mentioned like we used to.

He cracked on em in 2021. Outside of that he's struggled in AOY standings. He's still Skeet Reese though. I would consider him a Legend thats still fishing.

I've always enjoyed how versatile Skeet is fishingwise. He can catch them just about any way he has to. One of the best to ever do it.

The yellow and black Revos were really cool and still fairly collectible.

I don't really keep up much with MLF, BPT so haven't heard his name or thought about him in quite some time. I used to like watching hm compete back in the day when he was with BASS.

They are massive. Around 75% for overseas items

His original series had a 6'-3" rod that I loved. I ended up buying another one but both were stolen. Wish I could find that rod again.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. I always wondered why we have so many rod / reel companies, with seemingly more popping up all the time.

For overseas, basically you need the start up money to buy a reel frame. I believe its around 250k to get one side of a frame(RH). Thats why many new companies only come out with RH models to start.
