    Water Quality IA

May want to consider this next time you put crappies or gills on the table. I have witnessed over the last forty years exactly this in IA and IL. Riparian habitat destruction for more corn and soybeans has greatly exasperated the problem. Would be nice to see a more acres in the CRP program added for riparian restoration. Grasses and pollinators added to buffer critical runoff areas are a natural filter and greatly reduces agricultural runoff. Another thing industrial sites that hold these materials need to have full containment measures in place in the event of a spill. Regulations definitely need to be tougher to protect water for all of us and wildlife.

Good luck getting anything done, this has been an issue forever and the lack of CRP makes it worse.
