You can send yours out and have them powder coated also,

I plasti dipped my factory rims. Pretty cheap and if you do not like it, you can remove it. Plenty of videos on youtube on how to do it.
Does this hold up well? Or does it flake off pretty easy?
No offense but plasti-dip looks good initially, but ends up looking like shit and will definitely flake off or get knocked off by rocks or whatever. Show your rig some respect and buy wheels, or get your current wheels powder coated.
I had the 17" Challengers that was originally the "black chrome" style... welp after 6yrs of use by me and the original owner of the boat, they finally was flaking and peeling so bad that i couldn't take the eye sore anymore.
Contacted a local fella that does powder coating and completely redid all 5 of my rims (1 even had a curb rash on it that he fixed up nice for me) .... acid dipped and blasted each rim for prep and then did the powder-coating. 3 coats of semi-gloss black and they look brand new again. He charged me $100 a wheel and it was well worth it!!!!
To each their own but I hate black wheels.
Might as well just go to the junk yard and buy 4 black steel wheels. It will look about the same.

I will second that when i redo my wheels or buy new ones they will be metallic silver or grey or something else no black everybody has black wheels and flames LOL my ram is pearl white with bronze methods just hate black wheels they are on everything including priusOriginally Posted by Rick H

I think one of the reasons persons like black wheels is its the first place to get dirty due to brake dust. You can drove it for weeks without washing it but if your wheels aren't black then it really looks bad. So black wheels "BRILLIANT"
