Trim/Tilt * Jack plate levers?

Is there a rigging standard that says the trim lever is supposed to be on the left or right, or is it up to the guy rigging?
I learned on left hand trim. New boat is right hand trim/ left Jackplate..

Most I have seen are right hand trim.

We generally put trim right, and plate left.
