Cape Coral Florida - Relocated

Hey everyone!! Been awhile!! Just relocated to Cape Coral, FL last month.........so curious to see who's around me. Yes, the boat came with us!!! I've already been out a couple times......fishing the canals around kennnedy lake.

I don't even know what the alley is?? I've been to BMX boat ramp twice - it's 3 min from my house. Fished that canal system both times.

Hell, I don't even know what the on plane regulations are..... we've just been putzing around the whole time.

The alley is the canal system that runs next to Alligator Alley (the road that goes from Naples to Ft. Lauderdale. If you want to see a bunch of gators then the alley is the place to go. There is also another canal that runs north from the alley and there is a big parking lot and ramp there. The western ramps on the alley are about 30-40 minutes from Naples.

Big O.....but this year I entered the ABA trail on the Kissimmee Chain and the Harris Chain so I've been spending a lot of time there.. This weekend I'm heading to Headwaters because it's on fire right now

So you're traveling quite a bit! Unfortunately I am working like 50-60hrs a week - so on the weekends I take the wife and hit that local ramp.

I think all the canals are a 5 mph zone except maybe the spreader water way to the west . ask around some of the canals in the Cape now have peacock bass in them, visit Cape Tool and Tackle they can probably fill you in. As for Lake Kennedy graph around open water shuuld be hurricane Ian debries out there I would imagine .

Gotta be honest - we absolutely LOVE it down here!! Should have made this move YEARS ago!! The sun, warmth, sun........it's amazing! I've mowed twice since Feb!! Never mowed my grass in Feb IN MY LIFE!!!!

I'm takin the ol lady out on Saturday again.......gonna try some different things and see if I can't catch something worthy of pics. All I've been catching are 1-3lbers. Gotta remember to toss the pellet rifle in the rod locker too - saw 2 iguanas the last time that were HUGE!!!
