    521 VX

Been playing with my setup and I’m all around happy with 2 3/4” ptp at 72-73mph loaded and 74-75 light. My wheel has some blemishes so a little loss but what ever. The main thing I’m looking for now is lift at low speeds. I read somewhere that Ranger recommends 6” on that model which I have but I see others with a 10” or 8” same model and did it really make any difference?

What motor and prop are you running to get those numbers? I have heard the bravo has the lift but not sure. Id love to try one but havent gotten my hands on one to try yet.

Good move! I had a friend that switched from a 6" to a 10" Bob's on a 2004 521VX and it really helped both speed and rough-water performance. That boat needs all the bow lift it can get. We fished Erie all the time and he was an experienced driver, but his 521 was like a submarine with that original 6" plate in high waves. The 10" made all the difference in the world.
