I'm glad Hamner actually held up the unnamed jerkbait...and put some hooks on it lol.

"All these scopers just used jighead minnows and drop shot weeny worms"

Pretty funny seeing pretty much all old school power fishing dominate after all the crying to start the year. Curious why the single colorado blade spinnerbait was so dominant, the water wasn't that stained was it? Or is that just a Grand staple?

I think a lot of the lure selection had more to do with how Grand fishes.

Thanks for posting Mark. Glad to see I am not the only guy that likes to throw a spinnerbait.

The spinnerbait is alive and well.

It seems to be coming back into the limelight compared to a few years ago.

Yea seems like the chatterbait pushed it to the back burner for a while but just not for me

I was glad Hamner held up the jerkbait to, shows integrity to me. I love me some Matt Robertson but it was obvious he was throwing an 8 inch Magdraft and that's what he caught his big one on the last day on live but not pictured. I know business is business but it was refreshing to see Hamner be honest.

I saw the same, Robertson tried to really throw that bait back in the water as quick as he could

It pushed it back on most people which is why it's gotten to be almost sneaky now.

The number of boats these are in on the Elite trail is pretty high. And for good reason. It is the second Classic in recent history that it's helped take home a win.

Maybe he caught some on the Cull Shad too? If he didn't then yea I'd like to see him just say he caught him on the MagDraft.
