Entirely too light of a punishment in my opinion.

I'm surprised they made the decision but it's the right one. A lot of guys were wanting a lifetime ban imposed which I knew wouldn't happen.

Why both boaters? I haven’t heard what the guy who got ran over did wrong?

There is a video and discussion in the thread that explains all of that.
Way to light of punishment. Ffs.

They were both running in a no wake zone. They were also on video stating that they would be breaking rules to make it back.

A year is a little light in my opinion, should have been 5 years.

Lives could have been lost very easily for being stupid.

It is nothing but a slap on the wrist, they will just go to another organization. I am pretty sure that I will never draw out as a co-angler again after seeing this kind of stuff. It is pretty obvious that these boat operators are egomaniacs with no common sense, add the allure of money and fame, and you have a disaster waiting to happen.

If they have the nerve to sign back up after their suspensions, I sincerely hope any and all co-angers refuse to get in the boat with them.

Article stated "... suspended from all MLF tournaments for at least one year."

Regardless, seems waaay too light of a "punishment". Admittedly planning to break a rule that could easily have resulted in personal injury/loss of life... to me, that should have been a no-brainer permanent ban.
It will be interesting to see if any of those involved file some sort of legal charges against Succi and/or Reed.

Have there been any charges levied by local law enforcement on one/both drivers?

He was running the no wake zone and it was pre determined.

Both should have gotten a life time ban

Thats the scary thing. At least both involved in this accident were partially responsible. But what if someone had a kayak or float tube going down that canal? Just all around dumb.

Same should happen to drivers on the road speeding also. Could very easily hurt someone. Life time driving ban. A one year driving suspension for a speeding ticket isn't enough to stop these idiots from doing it again and endangering others.

unbelievable how lenient that is. I'm sure this will put a stop to all the reckless driving in these tournaments. Way to send a message MLF!
