    Best unit for MEGA 360

Not looking to link it with any other unit and it's sole purpose will be strictly for 360. What unit is best and I'm okay if it's a 10" as I currently have a Solix 10" on the bow.

My 10" solix is a g1 and doesn't work with Mega 360 but that's okay cause I use it for mapping/2d/si/di and want it to stay that way.

Wayne, the apex cause of it's clarity or more functionality? If it's clarity, how much better than a helix or solix?

Image quality. Look at the specs for the display pixel counts.

I had Solix G3 and now have Apex. The Apex really shines for Mega 360, SI, and DI. The full HD resolution is definitely beneficial for all three... not so much on 2D and Mega Live... The details on those two just aren't fine enough to benefit from, the added resolution.

I have an Apex 19, 16, and 13. I run my Mega 360 on the 13 in a chart/Mega 360 combo view in a 30/70 split screen. The Apex screen is a wider format, so even running in a 70% screen view, the Mega 360 still fills the screen from top to bottom. This is still the case when using the Cannon or Minn Kota pinned control sidebars. In a full screen, you have a lot of wasted screen realestate on each side of the Mega 360 image.

The screenshot shows my Apex 13 on the top half with the Chart & Mega 360 view and my Apex 19 on the bottom half.

A helix 10 or 12 would be fine.

Location on your boat and height matter. I dont know how guys deal with a graph off to one side etc. Centered on the bow is the way to go for 360 for obvious reasons.

You can set the 360 to display only the front half and blow it up to fill the screen.

I use a 12. It is raised up about 12 inches off the deck since its in front of two garmins etc.

Yes, Helix works fine for Mega 360 as well, but, in this case, he already has Solix, so he is already familiar with that interface.

And I would need at least a G3 solix to run Mega360?

No a G2 Imaging unit is compatible also if you can find one.
It's any MEGA SI+ or MEGA DI+ models. That designation is in their model names.
