Looks like a Yamaha thrust washer for Yamaha rubber pressed in hubs. You need a Mercury hub kit made to fit a Yamaha motor.

Thanks Mike, that’s what I thought. What concerns me is this thrust washer was on in front of my bravo that the dealership put on. It just threw a blade last week and now I’m concerned about LU damage.

Which hub kit is the best for a Mercury prop between these two?

I have a Bravo 1 on my FXR, it has the second hub kit you posted with the cotter pin. It also has the extra bushing

Thanks Toby. So you only have the 1 thrust washer on the prop shaft as shown in the 2nd picture?

I have run a Bravo LT on first a 250 SHO and then 2 f300's. I've used the first kit till this winter when I switched to the second kit pictured. The only reason I switched kits was with the first kit the prop clunked in gear quite hard. Supposedly the second kit makes it more cushioned when going into gear. I have not tried it yet as it is winter here, but by a report from a member on here it is a smooth transition.

That's looks like a spacer, not a thrush washer. Like said, you need to get the right kit for sure.

The left one looks like a flow torq hub kit thrust washer for a Mercury prop. The Yamaha motor model has an additional 1/8 in step to hold the prop farther from the gearcase. So you don't hit the zerk fitting.

Right. This is for a Mercury prop on a SHO. Technically it’s a Scorpion prop but I thought they used the same hub kit and thrust washer as a Mercury prop. So I go with the Q1 model?

Circling back to this.... so the one on the right is the correct thrush washer, and the second piece (2nd picture on post #3) goes over top of it?

Scorpions were made with both hub styles... Rubber pressed in hub.......... and a square bore like new Merc props. I don't know what your Scorpion has.

Hard to tell from this pic.... But this looks like the "ONE" Put thrust washer on the back of the prop and make sure it mates w/o much slop. Tighten it all up and spin the prop by hand and make sure it spins freely.

Thanks Mike. This is the two piece stainless washer that is the 402 kit. I put it over top of the existing thrush washer and it fit perfect over the existing thrust washer. Prop hub was inserted with the bushing, and torqued to 70 lbs. Spins very well.
