2004 Cougar, I see no access to remove the shift assy. Looks like I need to cut a larger access hole where the LiveWell control panel is, my 02 cougar is all open in that area.

I did an 04 with a yammy, access panel was under the drivers seat.

I had to cut a big hole when I changed my controls on my 03 P4. It was still a huge PITA.
It goes in after assembly, so it will come out.
