Pretty subjective thoughts on the best 56 but he won it wire to wire. In no way should his win be diminished. The format to qualify was just as tough as any previous year. You could argue that the competition is as fierce and as hungry as its ever been. At least in my opinion. The talent in the Elites is stout. I personally think it's just as strong as it was 5-10 years ago.

Everyone in the World had a chance to attempt to qualify. So in that sense it did.

That's suggestive and arguable, but steadfast

BASS is the gold standard for fishing. Where would you find the best anglers in the world then?

The article says he’s the best in the World. So it must be true.

One guy from PA in particular?

Congrats to Justin Hamner, but having one invitational tournament on a reservoir in Oklahoma and declaring the winner to be the best angler in the world is a bit narcissistic, I think.

A Classic is more than just a single win on a single lake. Depending on your route to qualify it could reflect a 9 event run against some of the best in the game.

It sure as hell doesn't mean you're the worst angler in the world.
