For some reason, at first I didn't care for him.
Heard of what he's done for the sport and my opinions have changed 180.

Seems to ba a great person. He is friends with Tyler Rivet young Pro who lives near me. Cherry kinda took him under his wing when he made the Elites. Each time he comes this way, he always visits the area schools and talks to the kids. Talking to our future....

i had the same impression as you, didnt really give him a second thought until I heard about how much community outreach he does and just how he holds himself on and off the water. He’s one of the best anglers for the sport. Humble and wanting to make the world a better place while he’s able to

Here in Canada the live stream buffered out as soon as he mentioned garmin and ffs. Then came back on again when he finished. What did he stay that was cut-out?

Hank is a true professional angler and winner his comments saying his tournments are more behind him than in front of him was a big surprise to me Hank got himself in a position to win this Classic fishing his strengths his pattern fishing shallow with a jig and chatterbait was fun to watch early on he saw repeated casts could generate bites fishing slow is hard to do many thought he would wip out the Jerk bait and clean up he fished a good tournament seems like its family first now I recon and respect that just my view

“If you’ve ever fished a cricket under a bobber, you’ve used FFS”. And then some, basically saying if you want to do it, do it.

If u have FS1 on ur tv, it’ll be airing the weigh in of the final 6 at 9:30 EST tonight. So u won’t have to watch 5 hours, only 30 mins.

He did lay it out.. And I will say this a lot of the Pros... whatever you want to call them are against what is happening in the sport. Spend some time in the boat with them and you will see they no this industry is changing and not for the good.

1hr 29 minute and 25 second mark is when Hank comes out to weigh his fish...

He hinted that he may not be fishing the Elite series much longer. Said something to the effect that if BASS doesn't have another Classic on Grand in the near future this will be his last time walking across the stage at Grand. Also mentioned how he's not done yet but how important being a dad and family man was to him. He said something about he had a lot more weigh-ins in his past than in his future. He was very emotional in everything he said. I agree with the OP he laid it out there...
