New garmin SI transducer

Just listening to a crappie podcast and they were saying there is supposedly a new si transducer that's really good.
Better than the 56uhd by a noticeable margin.
Trying to find info/model numbers to see what they got cooking

When you find out let us know.......mean while, did they introduce anything at the classic today??? Just another thought, why spend time on making a new side image ducer when Live Sonar is the now thing.....

I hope they continue to improve side image as it gives you a much better idea of what the bottom / structure looks like a.k.a. “The Big Picture”

Live is great but with the narrow beam you have to build the image of the entire bottom in your head whereas SI can build it for you and you can stop it zoom in or scroll back and look it over

I think si & livescope go hand in hand even if different brands to make the perfect electronics combination. To me side imaging is about as important as livescope.

Since I’m new to Livescope, I’ve been using mine with my Humminbird 360 and like seeing more details from the LS of something that I’m seeing with my 360. I’m definitely learning new details of some of my favorite spots, something that felt like a jump going from 2D or even down imaging to 360. SI is nice when trolling around to see what I just passed by.

More kHz? More watts?

Somehow better clarity? What is supposed to be better or improved? More range would be helpful. Less edge washout/dropoff. The 56 is already super good if you have a large screen

Regarding the underlined part, I've wondered how guys are marking points, etc, with 'side scanning' FFS on the back. I personally like the scroll history of side imaging but what do I know. lol

I also wonder if they are confused and thinking of the 54 and the new one is the 56?? Either way , its about time for something new.

The thing I would like to see is the 360 quick scan like you can with the lowrance ghost. Since the force already has an SI transducer in it you would think it would be a simple addition.
