    Bummer the video didn’t capture the incident. Just audio. That captain should be banned from all tournaments and 100% liable to all party’s involved.

    The stretch he was in was no wake, he blew through a quarter to half mile of no wake before the bridge where the accident occurred. The Apopka canal that he was in has stretches of “no wake” and stretches of “normal operation”

    They don’t have any authority other than DQ him for that tournament and possibly a future ban. They don’t need to be making a bunch of public statements about the idiot who caused this situation while law enforcement is conducting their investigation.

    The official investigation will show statements from witnesses plus all the other evidence concerning this incident and eventually put charge who it determined was responsible and hand their findings it to the District Attorney.

    The idiot’s lawyer won’t be able to claim that MLF made inflammatory comments before the investigation was completed that have limited his client from being treated fairly.

    That's one ting MLF is good at...not saying anything about the bad things that happen during their tournaments!

    The co-angler coming off as all up in arms about it is a joke and he is a hypocrite.

    If, in fact, the driver of the boat was doing the same thing in the morning, as he alluded to in his comments to cover his own ass, then he should have notified the TD in the morning and, hopefully, it would have been addressed and none of this would have ever happened.

    Instead he decides to take some "action" video if them running the channel on plane and no where on the audio does he say anything about possibly slowing down.

    You might take the time to get your facts straight

    First he did not shoot the video it was the co-angler in the other boat (the boat that was run over)
    He was the co-angler in the boat that ran over the other boat

    As for contacting the TD you have no way of knowing if he did or didn’t
    Not sure if it’s a rule as a co-angler that you have to put the TD’s number in your phone so he may not have had the opportunity so again you don’t know

    but your all set to roast this guy

    And if you took the time to read the comments, the co-angler is married to a woman that he says runs the largest personal injury law firm in Michigan. He also says he’s a certified captain. Apparently, the drivers talked about “pushing it” through the canal, which the coangler took to mean “6-7 miles per hour” (aka fast for being no wake). He said he didn’t realize it meant 65mph. I do honestly believe the guy was not aware his boater was going to break the law and tournament rules. But yeah, you can hear him tell his boater the one in front sat down quickly.

    Driver of the boat that was hit, was thrown from his boat. The coangler that recorded the video went back for him. Same coangler went to the closest house to get the address for EMS. He reported that the driver of the boat that was thrown was clearly not wearing his safety lanyard, as the the boat was still in gear and engine running after the accident.
