BBQ Sauce. Folks must be getting their grills out

Have had a few questions about store bought sauces, so I figured I'd just post my thoughts. Most name brands are pretty good, but some are 90% sugar I think. I make my own sauces for the most part but I do keep these two brands around the house. If I only could use one brand from now on it would be Blues Hog. The Tenn Red is a close takeoff on Carolina sauce and good. The Raspberry Chipotle is just plain awesome on pork tenderloin. I never sauce brisket, but if I have any left I chop it for sandwiches and use the Smokey Mountain along with pepperjack cheese. Now if you want some killer chicken sauce you need to trust me on this one. Combine their Honey Mustard and Smokey Mt. Use 3 parts HM to 1 part SM. Been trying their charcoal some too and it does pretty good. The other sauce I keep is Jack Daniels Sweet & Spicy, it is excellent on ribs.

Good Ribs don't need sauce or very very little.
If professionals who's careers depend on catching fish use FFS then that's what I'm using. Might be too simple of a philosophy but makes sense to me.

Head Country Bar-B-Q Sauce, original flavor, has met all my needs the past few years. Pretty sure I was tipped off to it by a thread on here. Really, really good stuff on pulled pork, brisket, chicken sammiches or anything else you desire BBQ sauce on.

Blues Hog is all I use now. I really like their championship blend the most.

I agree with rb. Blue Hoggs is the only sauce we keep in the house. The original and the raspberry/chipotle.

I'm one of the few that don't like their Raspberry Chipotle. I really like all their other flavors. Another sauce that I like is Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet and Spicy. It's awesome on ribs.

This^^^^ much like a good steak doesn’t need steak sauce. All it does is cover up poor meat quality and a bad cook.

For something different try some mojo sauce/marinade on chicken and pork. It's a citrus based product. https://cheaper99.com/mojo%20sauces?...A%20%7B4-mo%7D

BBQ don't need any sauce. Sauce is for masking the flavor of grilled meats.

I've got some of the raspberry chipotle. It's good on burgers but it get really watery quick. I've never seen a sauce do that before.
