Um... Garmin, just like many others, has a MAP policy. The price will be the same everywhere.

Unless the 93 is no longer current. If so, I apologize.

UHD2 93sv is a new model unit , every place sells them for the same . I didnt find any discounted when I bought one .
But some places like RMP dont charge sales tax , your of course supposed to declare it when you file your taxes
    That would save you 7%

Well, it is a fact that Garmin has a MAP policy. I'm not "dead wrong" on that. However, I can't claim to have seen the wording in their dealer agreement.

Not too long ago I taught scuba and did repairs for a local dive shop. I was buds with the owner and was privy to their dealer agreements with companies like Suunto and others. There are ways to get around MAP but quite often it's not in the best interest of retailers to do that.

Still, I will admit that when I have bought my Garmin products (and I got a ton of their stuff) I haven't spent days calling around to speak with every reseller personally.

OTOH, I'm not looking for little cuts in price or other incentives like a free this or that. If I'm looking for a deep discount I will go the route of buying a new discontinued model like when I recently picked up a 126sv/GT54 from Johnny at over half the price of it's superceded model.

So, yeah... call around if you want. Maybe check out RMP. I never got a price break with them but who knows.... I never asked for one.

Buying the discontinued 93sv UHD w/gt54 ($699) is prob cheapest and then buy ther gt56 ($475) separate.

You do realize map pricing just means it can't be advertised for lower than there set price. Lets say a new current model 126 sv ultra 2 map price is $2,699. News flash for you it can be bought for less.

    93UHD (not UHD2) with GT56 is $950 from AMZ. UHD2 with GT56 is $1200 everywhere
