IDK I'm so use to mono and regular Big Game, after 45+ years. At 35$ ish a bulk spool I'll put new line on in a heart beat if I'm so inclined..lol. I do like fresh line!

Maybe for Berkley. Most fluorocarbon lines seem to be around the .35 diameter with many of the Japanese brands being quite thinner. You don’t need to defend your love for Big Game to me me. I could care less what you use

Seaguar is thinner and also much weaker, often doesn't even hold up to it's lb test rating. .35-.38mm is pretty normal for most 14-15 lb mono, copolymer and florcarbon lines.

I'd try it. I currently use regular bg on some of my salt water reels.

Hopefully it's not just a re-branding of Vanish!

There is no industry standard on line size.

Diawa 20 is .0145 inches or .37 mm.

Big Game FC 20 is .019 inches or .47mm. That is substantially bigger than 25 lb Tatsu or Diawa.

I use Vanish with great success. But yeah, I was thinking the same as you. Vanish in a larger spool size.

The Vanish is awful and they do make it in larger spool sizes, I have seen it at Walmart as well. This Is the first I have heard of the Big Game floro though.

I just checked it out becuse this is the first I have even heard of it. The diamaters of the 10-17 lb test doesn't seem bad, I wouldn't use the 20 lb, .47mm is too thick for me. I guess I will have to buy a few spools and run it through my tests to see how strong it actually is compared to it's diameter, if it does good I may switch to it.

I don't care what the line diameter is in relation to that of a $30 160 yard spool of premium floro. We're talking $ 9.99 for 360 yards! If it behaves at all well, and sinks good I can live with that. My tournament days are over and my wallet matters more than the line diameter in my pursuit of fun. Actually might start changing my line out twice a year!!! Ya'll are out there comparing Mercedes to Kia... Just saying.

Yeah I'm definitely in the minority when it comes to liking Vanish.

If I see it on the shelf I'll try it. I use a ton of 10# flouro on my moving bait setups. My new "baby bear" line is the KVD stuff BPS carries. Not too limp and not too stiff. And I also don't have any issues with Big Game when it comes to memory and handling on the setups I use it on. I just sandbag the first few throws to stretch it a little and after that it handles better than most flouro.

I like it for leader material. I use Sniper and Daiwa when using fluoro as a main line though.
