Actual Justice Warrior, who is a New Yorker, was fuming over this situation. He provides the historical content/logic for squatters rights at the start of the video.

I had a squatter on my property in south Texas, he had put a mobile home on it and had electricity hooked up. I had to get the sheriff's department to evict him before I could sell the property.

This. The squatter will disappear and no one will be the wiser.

    People do think.

They think the squatters are victims of a system that creates, enables, and protects property owners.

Squatters from Illinois have taken over my fishing hole on Lake Guntersville. They have been sitting on it all week. How do I evict them?

That's a bunch of crap! How in the hell does this happen? I'll be damned if I'd go to court to have them removed, I'd need some spot removal from a cleaning company.

The original idea of allowing homeless people to squat was to utilize abandoned homes that owners just left to rot. But once smart people got educated on those laws, they started taking over empty nice properties and using the law to basically steal a nice home.

Just do some revisions to the laws and put an end to it.

The largest private property owner in the UK bought up hundreds of abandoned homes with squatters right, hired the right kind of people to evacuate them, and took possession. He even did time in prison for orchestrating the assaults, and some of his squad went to jail for awhile too. But in the end the sqatters were terrified of him and his men, so just the mere notice he had bought the property got them to leave. He now has built the largest dwelling since the last castle was built in the UK and you guessed it, it's a castle like structure out in the country side. He is quite the story.

Yet the owner still gets to pay the property tax bill and can't access it
Kinda like being forced to allow non paying renters to stay in your home - think covid
