Atlas jack plate motor rubbing on motor mounting bolt

Was looking around and saw that my Atlas jack plate motor was rubbing on the lower motor to plate bolt.
Its where the motor slides by the bolt going up and down.
Called a friend of mine with same setup and he checked his and it is rubbing also.
Not sure how to correct this. Going to make some calls IMG_3687.jpegIMG_3688.jpeg IMG_3686.jpegIMG_3662.jpegIMG_3671.jpeg
check yours and post the findings. Thanks

Mine sits above it . Do you have your adjustment all the way down?

It’s an Atlas hydraulic 8” jack plate. The plate the bolt is through moves up and down with the outboard.
I took the picture midway to show the rub area. The rub is the full length on the side of hydraulic pump motor.

Maybe a few more pics would be helpful....full view, different side/angles...I don't know. Hard to picture it for me with what you show.

My 21 Skeeter with 225 sho has a 12inch Atlas plate and the motor is not even close to any of the bolts clearance wise.

Well, the newer pics did help me anyway to understand the problem.

Does the lifting cylinder look parallel to the plate when up? That's totally on Atlas manufacturing. It's the lower BIA bolt pattern, which is standard.

I'll have to look at my Atlas on the Tracker and see whats up.

Maybe you can squeeze some clearance from the lift mechanism fastener bolts.

Upper and lower mounts look to be in good condition with no wear. IMG_3670.jpegIMG_3669.jpeg
I am waiting for more replies to what others have found before I post my response from TH Marine. Others have to have the same issue.

Looks to me like maybe your jackplate has less setback than ones that do not have the problem?? MKNJ671 (posted above) with 12" plate has no problem, so i'm guessing yours is smaller 6" setback, so design flaw allows not enough space...my opinion...

Mine just clears. There is slightly more of a gap between lifting plate and JP motor. 2021 Ranger 521L.

Replace that bolt with a "socket" head bolt, looks like the 5th pic in your 1st post

I do believe that a socket head bolt would still make contact. I will try and find one to try out.
