    Roku users beware!!

I went to sign in to my Amazon Prime account on my Roku and there was a fake Amazon number, somehow they got the access codes to match on my TV and email so everything seemed legit. I noticed something was off when he claimed my debit card was expired and he needed an updated card to pay for Prime, my wife just payed for Prime. As soon as we got off the phone we checked the account and the email had been changed, the worst part is all of our history and orders were lost.

After looking into what happened a little closer it was my fault, instead of going to Amazon.com/mytv I went to a fake site amzcomtv.com. When the code was entered I got a message to click to call which lead to the scammers. I'm such an idiot.

That sucks, but sounds like you kept your wits about you and didn’t give them any of your money. Good work.

I am glad you caught it.
I have caught on to scammers myself recently. I did a photo search on photos being used in profiles of its contacting me on a karaoke forum. They turn out to be young females who are in porn. But go by different names trying to say they need money because this happened, or that happened. One who used Heidi Grey's photos, even though I have pointed out to it they are a con. Is trying to convince me now she was just shy and used her photos and give descriptions of tattoos on Heidi's body as they were her own and such, just to get a feel of if I am truly a decent man before she truly revealed her true self. Not to mention I said no when asked to pay its 2 hundred and something dollar electric bill when it used that line. And later used, it got robbed in Texas at 8 something one night and has no money, and could sure use a good person to help. Now I am supposed to believe she's really a she, a good person hotter than Heidi, and it was all just a test. They really try different ways to find a in to get what they can.
And I don't know how many times it has sent the message calm down while I am calm.

Grrr, I hate a scammer. It's getting bad lately. Walmart.com is the worst. We have a separate cc for different things and keep our bill cards isolated for bills only.

I got an email on my netflix the other day that someone had hacked my account went to a premium subscription and added an account. I had to go in change it all back and alter logins.

Beware and keep those passwords close men!

Lately after doing a google search, I click on what seems like a legit result, right at the top of the results list, and my VPN catches it saying it’s an impersonating site. Have to scroll down the results some and what seems like the same emblem for the site and lo and behold it is the legit link.
How are these impersonating links getting to the top of the google search results?
Seems a little sketchy on googles part as well.
And BTW, this started happening after I reluctantly updated software on my IPhone. Seems a little bizarre.
Good result from the update, I get way less spam emails.

You need to hover over the link/ email before clicking to make sure it is taking you to a legitimate site.

You should never use a debit card for any online purchase! Once they get your money, the bank is not looking to help you get it back! Use a credit card, then it's the banks money, and they will get it back!

In reality it's probably a 6' 5" 350lb Nigerian male working in a room full of similar scammers. Tell them you are with the CIA and just called in their location for a Hellfire drone missile strike.

That's what got me. The legit site was several results down, Google could do better.

Scammers are buying Google Sponsored ads, and hoping to get a few clicks before Google catches it.
My wife clicked one of those ads to check my Visa Gift Card balance, and of course put in all my card data, and they took everything on the card. Luckily it wasn't much.
