    Mercury for Yamaha

    I just purchased a new boat that has 250 pro xs on it. The motor has 3 or 4 hours on it. I’d like to explore the idea of trading it for a new Yamaha 250 Sho. Has anyone done this or know of a dealer who would entertain this?

    I didn’t order the boat. I bought from a dealer and it had a mercury on it.

    You might be able to find someone that has a Yamaha that would prefer a Mercury. I have met plenty of people that bought boats because they were the best deal they could find and settled for the motor when they would have preferred another manufacturer. Then you would only have the rigging cost.
