Throttle return-2001 VMAX HPDI 175

I just picked up a 2001 VMAX HPDI 175. I am rigging it up and the throttle body linkage very sluggish to return closed.

As I recall from a fading memory there should be return springs. Six of them.

Damn if I can understand how they can all be missing.

Yea, I saw that. But the linkage is not returning by itself. Cable not hooked up yet.

That sounds like some linkage some where is binding.

Have you removed the linkage to see that each and every throttle closes after you have manually opened them up?

Then start reinstalling the linkage components, hopefully finding where the problem is.
