What a s**t show!

Horrible race And I'm a NASCAR fan.
Goodyear screwed the pooch and brought a piece of sh*t tire. They should
be ashamed of themselves. Looked like they were driving on ice.

Tires were definitely a problem. Kind of made it exciting for a non fan. I watched the last 100 laps.

I didn't care for the dirt race either, today's race wasn't anything great either, tires were so bad they couldn't race hard they had to nurse the tires.

Goodyear and Nascar was right in wanting a tire that wore out but it just went too far. That green flag pitstop was great drama. The only reason this was manageable was because it was on a high bank short track so they could limp back to the pits when their tire went unlike the Indy debacle a number of years ago where they could only manage 10 laps or so before someone had a blowout. Improve this tire a little and they are on to something.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching three of the old school racers put on a tire management clinic today. When Hamlin got out front for the second to last time and had Gibbs and Bell chasing, then he faded back to third, I was like he is settling back in and letting the young guy set the pace and burn his stuff up. No reason for Hamlin to school him on tire management and then get punted on the last lap, let that kid go burn his tires off since he won't know any better.
Awesome race, even if the second groove didn't take rubber. I enjoyed seeing who could see it for what it was and adapt. Congrats to Hamlin on the win, he drove an extremely savvy race.
Other than the Hamlin win, I thought is was a good race. Had a little of the old school Bristol vibe to it. Tires definitely wore out quick, but I liked it. Made them actually race

I agree. Clint Bowyer said it a few times that it was like the days when you had unlimited horsepower and had to manage your tires to keep from burning them up.
They interviewed a spokesman for Goodyear and he said that they brought the same exact tire that they ran at the Bristol night race where it preformed excellent for them. It was a tad softer than usual which would cause it to lose some grip and provide better racing. Now here's the kicker.......instead of putting down the PJ-1 traction compound like they have for several years Nascar decided to go with a resin instead which caused the tires to wear out at half the laps that they should of. This is all on Nascar because Goodyear did exactly as they were supposed to.

54 lead changes and pit strategies....was a pretty good race. it really looked like the old Bristol with guys moving cars out of the way. More horsepower or tire derogation is definitely needed to improve the racing on every track not a super speedway.

I had free tickets to go. I backed out because I didn't want to drive 3 hours to camp in the cold
I remember when our season tickets were like gold. And I'll say it...them were the days.
I think the race was interesting. Hated to see Gibbs fade, but, once again he did finish in the top ten. He won both early segments and was awarded a gold plated razor from Gilette, to which he commented "What is this for"?
