If a world record bass is caught in the US, what lake do you think it will be caught in? Curious what your thoughts are for both a Smallmouth world record and a Largemouth world record.

I agree with BassinPaPaw above about California and the trout. Bass that feed on trout seem to just get bigger, especially when the bass actively feed year around. Last I checked, Dale Hollow Lake had three of the largest four smallmouth ever caught; it also has brown trout and rainbow trout in abundance.

Pretty sure one of the major guides out of Ivie is now in Idaho guiding those football size smallies. Still think a world record small mouth is more likely to come out of the great lakes area, but why not throw a curveball out there as a possibility.
