I have and old style shower near a window I use in my shack, so I will stay out if I have time. If not I try and make it as fast as possible.

10 to 20 people a year get zapped by plumbing lightning strikes. I will take my chances. Don't have time to be scared of so many things.

I think it was more of a thing years and years ago. Back when you had galvanized pipes, metal tubs, sinks etc. Now that everything is pretty much pvc, I dont think about it much...though, ya still have electrical wires running through your shower if ya have a light over head.......but dont think about it lol We had a bolt hit our pole out by the street few years ago, came in the house through our cable tv line. Blew a hole in our attic, traveled down and zapped all of our tvs, and two outlets, left charring in the attic. Electricity and lightening due what they do when they want to do it.

I got zapped in this old house years back while rinsing my mouth out after brushing my teeth. It felt like it hit every filling in the teeth I have them in. I didn't like it.

I will try to wait it out if time permits, if not then it becomes a lightning quick shower.

I'm more likely not to shower during a storm for the only reason that I like to experience the storm and also keep an eye on the TV in case of tornado. Never occurred to me that I could get hit by lighting because I was in the shower.

Was an issue with my parents when I was a kid. I don’t think about it now when I want a shower I take one.

Yep, I respect lightning greatly. Lightning struck our house on afternoon in the early 70s mother had just stepped away from the sink, dad was sitting at the kitchen table my brother am I were watching Gilligans Island, a fireball crossed the kitchen from the light switch to the sink 10’ away and took out a large piece of counter top covering My brother and I seen a large orange arch out the bottom of council tv into the hard wood floor, that left burn marks in the wood.
All the appliances were ruined,as was the fuse box. I knew a guy that was struck by lightning twice his nickname was Lightning Phil, I’ve help pull dead cattle out of a pasture that were struck by lightning, and in 2018 my neighbor was harvesting soybeans with his 7230 case combine when he was struck by lightning….$55,000 insurance claim all the electrical ruined. The old saying the same amount of chance of something happening as being struck by lightning, is why I buy powerball tickets.lol.

No I’ve never feared it, but have heard it and it always made sense that it was theoretically possible.! But I enjoy the thunder and lightning storms, so I try to sit in the Sun porch to watch the free show.!!
