Aluminum trailer build for bass boat

Anyone have any luck with a custom built alum trailer being built for a bass boat?

Are Ranger trailers any good? I see a lot of them for sale in TN. I know they are torsion axles do they bend? Ive thought about buying one of them and changing the bunks to fit my boat.

Check out diamond city trailers in murfreesboro, AR and strongback trailers in bradenton, FL. Both will build a custom boat trailer. Strongback is probably higher quality and diamond city would be more affordable.

i live in south Ms. and I have a custom made aluminum by Sporttrail. it has torsion axles, stainless brake calipers and lines and is a very nice trailer. I use it in salt and brackish water. If it doesn't get hit I will never need another one.

    My diamond city....

    20230914_132649.jpg20230914_132649.jpg

    Welds cracked on each fender.
Vortex hub caps cracked from overtightening.
Axle oriented incorrectly from the factory (or rotated shortly thereafter b/c of the lack of a welded spring perch)

A bolted- together aluminum trailer would probably solve the weld cracking issues.

Yes the fenders need to be bolted for sure as do the runners and axle mounts etc.

McClain is in Loxley, Al. My partner got one for his Ranger this past summer. They did not need his boat at all. We had to adjust all the bunks ourselves. It was a pain, but it is a fine trailer.
