    Another alarm question

    2004 200LEFI
    Serial #OT945988
Idling along this afternoon on idle only lake and got a continuous tone. Shut it down waited a few seconds and started again with same result.

Water pressure gauge isn’t in the best condition but reflected good pressure at 4000 rpm a few weeks back.

Probably showed at or less than 5# today idling and the pee stream was there but not especially strong.
Impeller was replaced last May and probably has 30 hours on it maybe more.

Hoping it’s just new impeller time, let me know your thoughts and thanks in advance.

It could be a number of things. Thermostats, clogged water inlets etc. As Don always says, start with the source of your water pressure and go from there.

Thanks for the insight, I'm leaning toward replacing the poppet valve also.
Curious if the long continuous tone is typical of an over heat. Seems the last time this happened I was also idling back in after short on plain run (cant remember if the tone at that time was continuous or a series of beeps 4 or 5 , I've had both over the years)

Is there a link to a schematic on the strainer location? I’m guessing it’s on the port side between fuel filter and oil tank?

Follow the black hose from the compressor to the bottom of the powerhead.

That explains my seemingly endless search. Is there a strainer/screen at all on the EFI's

Happens to me too...I blame it on age.

Stoner as far as I know, no strainer on the EFI.

You guys are starting to understand what I feel like sometimes.....

Indeed no strainer whatsoever other than in the exhaust tuner (and you can't get to that one).

Replace the impeller and gaskets, check and see if problem persists.

Above all, as suggested above, a SOLID TONE warning is a CRITICAL "Shut me down just AS SOON AS SAFELY POSSIBLE before my inside parts become outside parts" Warning.
