Anyone using the DD26 Garmin clip

I ordered one. Just feel like one of these days the 126 is gonna fly off the quick release mount.

Mine came off the other day. First time It floated ,dried it off and back in business my fault for not verifying that it was properly installed. Won’t happen again.

I do the same thing with a cotter clip...less the $1 each.

    Ditto. $24.99..... lol SMH.

I did see there is a hole, looks like for a lock or something in the special one. So there's that.

What makes you feel that it's going to fly off??? Genuinely curious.......

I didn't even know my Garmin had this quick release until my buddy pointed it out. Obviously it hasn't been an issue for me. My buddy on the other hand bought the clip you're asking about right after buying his Garmin. He loves it, but then again, he loves everything dd26!

I've never had a problem with any of my echomap ultra units and they have been on my boat since 2016. I got a 126 this year and for some reason thought I would start using the DD26 clips. I think the biggest thing they do is make you confirm that the latch is seated completely. I suspect the people that have had a unit come loose might not have closed that latch correctly. I don't know but the clips do give a sense of security.

Yep.....$25.00 is well worth it as compared to the cost of having to replace the 126.

I put one on each of my graphs. I just put it on the latch release so it can’t be pushed in to release the latch.
    I got mine at Lowe’s.
